About Radio 74 Networks
Radio 74 Networks is a family of independent, nonprofit Christian radio ministries dedicated to enriching lives through faith, health, family, education, and character-building programming. Together, our stations serve audiences across Europe, North America, and around the world through terrestrial radio, digital broadcasting, satellite distribution, and online streaming.
Our network includes:

- Radio 74 Internationale across the United States (Radio74.net)
- KPLS Positive Lifestyle Radio in Denver, Colorado (KPLS.org)
While each organization operates independently and is legally and financially distinct, all share a common vision: to communicate timeless biblical truths, promote whole-person health, strengthen families, and prepare hearts for the soon return of Jesus Christ.
Our Story
The Radio 74 story began in the French Alps shortly after midnight on January 17, 1982, when a small 15-watt FM transmitter first carried English-language programming across the Haute-Savoie region of France near Geneva, Switzerland. It was the first English-language FM radio station heard in the region and quickly developed into a respected educational and cultural broadcaster serving both French and international audiences.
Over the decades, LifeStyle 74 expanded into a network of FM and DAB+ transmitters throughout eastern France and major Swiss cities, while also reaching listeners worldwide through the internet.
Inspired by this European ministry, Radio 74 Internationale was established in the United States in 2000 as the Federal Communications Commission began authorizing Low Power FM stations. Responding to requests from churches, schools, and local ministries, Radio 74 Internationale helped launch numerous community radio stations and has since grown into a network spanning dozens of stations across America, reaching listeners from Alaska to Florida, Hawaii to the Caribbean.
In 2020, Radio 74 Internationale acquired KPLS 1510 AM in Denver, Colorado, creating a major metropolitan voice for Positive Lifestyle Radio and expanding the network’s reach throughout the Rocky Mountain region.
Today, Radio 74 Networks serves listeners on multiple continents through local radio stations, digital broadcasting, satellite distribution, and online streaming.

The Meaning of “74”
The name “Radio 74” originally referred to Haute-Savoie, France, whose administrative department number is 74—the birthplace of the ministry.
Over time, the name acquired deeper significance. Many listeners associate it with “God’s perfect 7 to the 4 corners of the earth,” reflecting our desire to share God’s love and truth globally.
The number 7 also reminds us of the seven principles of healthy living represented in NEWSTART, while 4 represents the four dimensions of total human wellness: physical, mental, social, and spiritual.
